Biography:

Joe Taslim was born on 23 June 1981 in Palembang, South Sumatra, Indonesia. He’s a martial artist but retired from judo to venture into acting when he was in his late 20s. As he pursued a career in entertainment, he was featured in magazines, commercials, and starred in Indonesian films. He made his acting debut in the 2008 film titled Karma.

Later in 2013, he pursued an international career, making his Hollywood debut in Fast & Furious 6. After a hiatus, he returned with a role in the film Star Trek Beyond. In 2020, he starred in the South Korean film The Swordsman. Joe Taslim gained recognition a year before that, starring as Li Yong in the Cinemax series Warrior, a role he still plays up to now. In 2021, he starred as Bi-Han / Sub-Zero in the martial arts film Mortal Kombat.
