On September 30, the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office released the autopsy results, which revealed that 62-year-old Charles Vallow had multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and stomach.
According to the examiner, Vallow also had multiple bruises on the right side of his chest and abrasions on his left arm, right hand, and knees.

A newly released autopsy report revealed that Charles Vallow died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds and ruled the death as a homicide. The report is the latest in the Arizona-based case that has captured national attention.
The Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office released the autopsy on Sept. 30, which revealed that 62-year-old Vallow had sustained several gunshot wounds to the chest and stomach.
The examiner also found multiple bruises on the right side of Vallow’s chest, as well as abrasions on the left arm, right hand and knees.
The toxicology report yielded negative results for any drugs in Vallow’s system.

According to the toxicology report, any drugs found in Vallow’s system were found to be toxic.
Lori and her husband are accused of killing Vallow.
Lori Daybell was found unfit to stand trial earlier this month by an Idaho judge, who sentenced her to at least 180 days in a state mental hospital.

Lori Daybell’s brother, Alex Cox, is accused of shooting and killing Vallow on July 11, 2019, after an argument at Chad Daybell’s home in Chandler.
According to police, Vallow, a Texas resident, was on his way to pick up his son from Lori Daybell’s home near Chandler Heights and Gilbert Road when the two began arguing.
Cox, who was present at the time, told police he intervened because he was afraid the fight would turn physical.

He told cops that he shot Vallow in self-defense after he hit him in the head with a baseball bat.
Cox and Lori Daybell were detained by police but later released. At the time, no criminal charges were filed.
Lori has been charged with murder conspiracy in connection with Vallow’s death. Alex, who claimed he was acting in self-defense, died of natural causes, according to police.
Chad Daybell has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges brought against him in Idaho. In Arizona, he is not facing any charges.

The couple has also been linked to other suspicious deaths in their families, including Lori’s ex-husband Charles.
According to Chandler police, Lori’s brother, Alex Cox, shot and killed Charles in July 2019.
Alex is exempt from prosecution because he died in December 2019 of natural causes. Pings from Cox’s cell phone, according to Idaho investigators, led them to the bodies of the children.
