Trent Alexander-Arnold has returned to the Liverpool starting line-up for their Europa League clash with Union Saint-Gilloise.

The defender was back in action off the bench during Saturday’s controversial 2-1 defeat to Tottenham after missing three weeks with a hamstring injury.

Alexander-Arnold is joined in defence for the clash at Anfield by Ibrahima Konate, promising centre back Jarell Quansah and Kostas Tsimikas.

Summer signings Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch are complemented by Harvey Elliott in midfield as Jurgen Klopp makes nine changes from the Spurs clash for the game against the Belgian side.

Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk, Luis Diaz, Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister and Curtis Jones are among the substitutes, with the bench also including Scottish wonderkid Ben Doak.

The Reds beat LASK 3-1 in their first group game, while Union Saint-Gilloise drew 1-1 with Toulouse.

However, Klopp’s side had to come from behind in Austria after going 1-0 down, with second half goals from Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz securing the victory.
