Guy Ritchie has revealed the secrets to his impressive weight loss, after losing a stone in recent months.

The acclaimed director, 55, credited his slimmed-down physique to eating steak for dinner five nights a week as it’s ‘easy’ for him to cook.

Speaking on Ruthie’s Table 4 podcast, Guy added that he doesn’t typically eat breakfast but will enjoyed iced coffee and healthy snack bars to help him through the day before making dinner his only main meal.

He said: ‘Usually what I eat is a rib eye five or six days a week and I’ll play with other things, but in the end it’s easy for me to cook.

I like the fat, I like the crispiness of the fat, it seems to be the right ratio of fat and meat for me.

‘I want it to be crispy and then I’m in heaven and it never gets boring. I’m not a breakfast man and I’ve a lost a stone which I’m quite smug about. It’s not been a struggle. I eat late.

‘I spend most of my life expanding. But I’m on contracting mode at the moment

‘I quite like coffee so I’ll go on iced Americanos until about one and then I’ll have a nibble of something.

‘They do these healthy bars, like dates, cashew nuts, they’ve got just enough naughtiness in them to keep you entertained but not enough to get you in trouble.’

Guy admitted he has struggled with his weight in the past, saying: ‘I spend most of my life expanding. But I’m on contracting mode at the moment.’

The Aladdin frontman added that struggling with dyslexia throughout his life has pushed him to succeed, saying: ‘The best roses come from the worst manure. So I think a certain amount of adversity is rather essential.’

It comes as Guy is gearing up to release his latest project, with the first trailer for his WWII drama The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare released on Tuesday.

Henry Cavill, 40, stars in the film as Gus March-Phillips, with the movie telling the true story of a rogue group who fought the Nazis.

The plot is inspired by the British War Department’s recently declassified documents which contained information about a secret group of military officials formed by the late Prime Minister Winston Churchill.

Guy directed Paramount Pictures’ big-screen adaptation of Damien Lewis’ 2015 book, and ousted Superman star Henry plays the leader of the secret combat organisation.

The movie is set during World War II and will be centred on a clandestine combat organisation set up by Winston Churchill and Ian Fleming.

Freddie Fox plays Ian Fleming, the author of the James Bond novels, who was a member of the secret combat unit.

A synopsis reads: ‘The top-secret combat unit, composed of a motley crew of rogues and mavericks, goes on a daring mission against the Nazis using entirely unconventional and utterly ‘ungentlemanly’ fighting techniques.

‘Ultimately their audacious approach changed the course of the war and laid the foundation for the British SAS and modern Black Ops warfare.’
