Adam Sandler has been spotted at Stamford Bridge, cheering on Chelsea against Newcastle, just a day after surprising fans at a basketball pick-up game in London over the weekend.

It’s no secret that Hollywood’s highest-paid actor is a fan of the Blues, as he once was in attendance for a west London derby game involving Chelsea and Fulham, 15 years or so ago, according to Tribal Football.

He even recalled how spontaneous it was to go to the game, which ended up being a win for Chelsea, at the time.

‘So we all went there and they were really nice, we were at Fulham vs. Chelsea and it was at an old-style venue [Craven Cottage]. We sat in the Chelsea section and the tunes were rocking!

‘I couldn’t believe how great everyone was singing, on key. It was rough men singing gently.

‘[…] It was an excellent experience; I want to learn more and more. I kept asking questions, ”how many teams are in the league?”, ”how many games?”, until I was told to shut up!’

Sandler’s appearance at a Premier League game comes after the his no-show at the Oscars on Sunday.

Over the weekend, he was spotted playing basketball at Kensington Leisure Centre, according to social media clips.

Viral videos on X (Twitter) show Sandler in a typical Grown Ups outfit – aka Hawaiian shorts and gray sweatpants – showing off his shooting and dribbles on the court, as he was surrounded by kids trying to take selfies with the ‘Happy Gilmore’ star.

A TikToker also shared a video of Sandler hooping, along with the caption: ‘I’m in… west London. I pulled up to my local basketball court and look. Bro, that’s Adam Sandler, look bro, you lot think I’m messing?’

All in all, it’s unclear if Sandler is in London for business or leisure.

Other high-profile Chelsea fans include actors Will Ferrell, Zach Galifianakis and Michael Caine. Chef Gordon Ramsey and former US President Bill Clinton are also supporters of the Blues.
