24 teams will do battle at Euro 2024 this summer looking to be crowned the best footballing country on the continent.

France, England, Spain and Portugal are some of the nations hoping to go all the way in Germany, who themselves are hoping to get things back on track after a rather ropey couple of years.

But away from the field, there’s other equally important matters to attend to. Namely, looking good in some rather beautiful kits. So what better way to celebrate adidas releasing their selection of Euro 2024 clobber with some classic 90min ranking?

Wales EURO 2024 Home and Away kits

It’s a poor start from Wales / Adidas

Positive: Quite a nice dragon
Negative: 0/10 creativity

It may sound harsh to use the word uninspiring, but being mid yawn while typing this sentence says it all. Sorry Wales, but this is very reminiscent of a training top and quite frankly is a copy and paste job from previous years.

Don’t fret, it can only get better from here.

Scott McTominay, Nathan Patterson

Lots of tartan / Adidas

Positive: The tartan is a little bit iconic
Negative: No red socks??

Yes, we’re talking about shirts here, but it’s impossible not point out the lack of red socks in Scotland’s new ensemble. The tartan idea is nice in theory, but just doesn’t work here at all.

Attila Szalai, Andras Schafer

Nice and simple / Adidas

Positive: Hungary don’t usually compete in consecutive tournaments anyway
Negative: We haven’t yet seen Milos Kerkez in this kit

It’s hard to imagine Hungary’s kit being a key talking point of the Euros, but this collection is simple and ultimately, it will do.

Red, white and green are difficult colours to combine in a stylish way, so for that they earn the benefit of the doubt.

Lamine Yamal

Viva away kit / Adidas

Positive: The home shirt is okay
Negative: The away shirt is terrible

Okay, the home shirt is fine, it’s classic, it’s expected.

Now, if you squint, close your left eye, and then imagine a completely different shirt, the away design is acceptable.

Federico Dimarco, Giacomo Raspadori

Classico /

Positive: It’s classic Italy
Negative: Strangely looks like a knockoff

We’re not upset with Italy’s design, just disappointed. The home kit is certainly better than the away, but the bar isn’t too far off the floor.

It feels illegal to not see Puma across the shirt, that will take some serious getting used to.

Ilkay Gundogan and Florian Wirtz

Beautiful / Adidas

Positive: It’s just pretty, isn’t it?
Negative: May need sunglasses to look at the bright pink

Germany’s home kit gives off serious 2006 vibes and trust us when we say that’s a good thing.

Their 2024 away kit is potentially even better, with the vibrant pink giving off a real summer is coming, get in the beer garden smack in the face.

It’s only fair that the hosts present in style, especially as they’re still trying to sort themselves out on the field.

Lois Openda and Leandro Trossard

10/10 from me / Adidas

Positive: Tintin is a legend
Negative: Don’t currently own one of these shirts

This, this is how you do a shirt! Belgium have based their away number on the character of Tintin, modelled beautifully here by Leandro Trossard.

It’s a clever way of making a modern shirt that screams nostalgia.

Never noticed how much Trossard resembles Tintin before.
