Charlie Woods won’t be playing the U.S. Open this year.

The 16-year-old son of Tiger Woods played at Wellington Golf Club in Florida on Thursday, ending the game with a score of 3-over par 75, which was seven strokes away from the qualifying score of 68.

This marks the second year in a row that Woods has not qualified for the tournament. However, this year’s performance was better than last year’s, when he scored 9-over 81 at the Legacy Golf and Tennis Club in Port St. Lucie.

Woods was one of 10,202 entries for the 125th U.S. Open, which will take place June 12-15 at Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania.

Tony Romo, former tennis player Mardy Fish and Rangers forward J.T. Miller are other well-known golfers aiming to qualify for the tournament.

Charlie’s father will also be missing the U.S. Open action.

The elder Woods announced in March that he underwent surgery after rupturing his left Achilles tendon while training at home.

The 49-year-old and 15-time major champion hasn’t played in a tournament since the British Open last July, when he missed the cut.

He was believed to be gearing himself up to play in the Masters in April at the time of the announcement.

“As I was increasing my training and practice at home, I felt a sharp pain in my left Achilles, which turned out to be ruptured,” Woods explained in a statement shared on social media. “Earlier today, Dr. Charlton Stucken from the Hospital for Special Surgery in West Palm Beach, Florida, performed a minimally-invasive procedure to repair my ruptured Achilles tendon.”
