(KTLA) — Lunchables is transforming a lunchtime staple with the introduction of its inaugural dippable, no-thaw crustless peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and it’s enlisting significant celebrity support for the occasion.

These new lunch packages contain two crustless peanut butter sandwiches per pack, accompanied by a grape or strawberry-flavored dip. The sandwiches are designed to be eaten directly from the refrigerator, bypassing the need for thawing that frozen options typically require, according to Lunchables representatives.

“We’re giving a new twist to a classic, satisfying the need for convenience from parents and the enthusiasm kids have for dipping and personalizing – PB&Js will never be the same,” stated Danni Levin, the associate director of innovation at Lunchables.

To mark the debut, Lunchables has also reunited Grammy Award-winning artist Lil Jon and hip-hop speedster Twista for a reimagined version of the viral hit “Peanut Butter Jelly Time.” The new track is available now on Lunchables’ YouTube and Spotify.

“It was cool to link back up with Twista on the Lunchables ‘Peanut Butter Jelly Time’ remix, cause I knew it would be fun, and we would make somethin’ fire,” said Lil Jon in a news release. “PB&J takes me back to my childhood days…YEAHHH!”

It’s the latest sandwich endeavor from Lunchables following the 2023 launch of Grilled Cheesies, a frozen grilled cheese sandwich that the company says “replicates a homemade grilled cheese” after 60 seconds in the microwave.

Lunchables PB&J is now available at select retailers for $2.49 per pack.
