A Brazilian influencer has shared that her ex-boyfriend secretly used a weight loss drug on her while she was asleep, as he was dissatisfied with how she looked.
Débora Dunhill informed the Brazilian news platform O Globo that her former partner took advantage of her because of the sleeping pills she consumed nightly for her anxiety.
The 38-year-old models ex-boyfriend injected an unknown amount of doses of the medication during three months in 2024.
‘He knew that I slept deeply with the medication, and he used that to do what he wanted with my body,’ Dunhill said.
Dunhill explained that her partner of two years, who was not named, would frequently chastise over her looks.
Although she maintained a healthy diet and worked out as well, she was caught off guard by how quickly she was shedding the excess weight.
‘He called me fat and old, and he dumped me for a thinner, younger woman,’ Dunhill said.
‘He never accepted my body the way it was. This made me really desperate to lose weight, a feeling of total invalidation.’

Dunhill immediately terminated her two-year relationship with her boyfriend, whose name she withheld.
‘It’s true, it’s not a fabrication. He was applying Ozempic to me while I was sleeping. I didn’t know,’ Dunhill said.
‘When I found out, I was in shock. It wasn’t just about appearance, it was about controlling me, deciding what I should be without consulting me.’
Dunhill, who acknowledged her relationship was once healthy, stunned her former boyfriend after she decided to undergo a procedure to refine the shape of her buttocks last year.
It took her boyfriend several weeks to notice while on a trip to the beach.
‘He said he felt betrayed, as if I had hidden something important,’ Dunhill said.
‘That I had changed the body he loved without [asking]. He used the word ‘betrayal’ more than once.’

Dr. David Kessler, who once served as the Food and Drug Administration commissioner, recently issued a warning over the use of GLP-1 medications, which are prescribed to treat type-2 diabetes and also used to treat long-term weight management.
The 74-year-old health expert turned to Ozempic to battle his weight.
After taking the weight loss shot – he did not specify which drug he took – the 5ft 10in scientist saw his weight drop from just over 200 pounds to 137 pounds in six months.
Meanwhile, he also managed to cut his body fat in half, from 30 percent to 15 percent.
While he praises GLP-1 medications for their fat-busting possibilities, Dr Kessler warns that the downsides might be too much for some people to handle.
He was blighted by some unpleasant symptoms, with one of the worst being ‘intense chills,’ after taking the injections.
He told The Washington Post that he got so cold, he had to wrap himself in an electric blanket.
Experiencing coldness is a reported side effect of some GLP-1 medications, including Mounjaro and Ozempic.
This is often attributed to reduced food intake and decreased thermogenesis (the body’s ability to generate heat).
On top of being cold, Kessler revealed that he also felt generally unwell at times and hit by waves of fatigue.
He also experienced a loss of appetite and at times ‘felt bloated.’
‘The drugs work in significant part by triggering gastrointestinal effects, keeping food in the stomach longer and generating feelings that push us to the edge of nausea – and sometimes outright nausea,” Kessler said.
‘They counterbalance the rewarding and addictive properties of food and reduce the food “noise,” or incessant wanting, that plays in our heads.’
Kessler used the drug for about seven months before pausing and then took them again. He is no longer using it.
‘We need more data on the safety and efficacy of intermittent use. The FDA should require drug companies to provide it,” he said.
‘For me, it’s a journey. If I find myself out of balance, I certainly will consider using the drugs again.’
