Dr. Brennan Asplen was selected out of a pool of four finalists vying for the superintendent position.
ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — The St. Johns County School District selected Brennan Asplen as its new superintendent in an unanimous vote Tuesday morning.
Asplen possesses 36 years of experience and has held various roles throughout his career. He has been part of the St. Johns County School District since 2006 and served as the deputy superintendent of operation before ascending to the position of superintendent.
“My intention is to examine multiple data sets within our district, pinpoint any gaps that exist, and strengthen those areas to enhance our performance,” Asplen stated during a meet and greet last week. “Collaborating with all our groups within the district, as well as with the community, to devise solutions is crucial. We must determine the social media platforms our parents and community members prefer, utilize them correctly, and disseminate information that is factual and transparent.”
This is a developing story.
