EFFINGHAM COUNTY, Ga. () — The father accused of murdering two of his children in 2018 was back in Effingham County court Wednesday.

Elwyn Crocker Sr., along with his alleged accomplices Kimberly Wright and Mark Wright, are charged with the murder of Elwyn Crocker Jr. and Mary Crocker. All three appeared in court on Tuesday, with prosecutors pursuing the death penalty against them.

The remains of Mary and Elwyn Jr. were discovered buried in the yard of the Crocker family home in 2018. Mary was 14-years-old at the time of her death. Elwyn Jr. is believed to have been deceased for two years before his body was found, and he would have been 16-years-old at that time.

Defense challenges state’s evidence and witness testimony

This week, several motions were addressed in court, but Judge Matthew Hube has yet to render any decisions. Elwyn Sr. is scheduled to return to court on June 16th, though a trial date has not been determined.
