Russia claims that Donald Trump is showing signs of “emotional overload” after the former US President harshly criticized the Kremlin’s most extensive air attacks on Ukraine.

On Sunday, Trump stated that Vladimir Putin “has gone absolutely CRAZY,” following the Russian leader’s launch of the largest aerial assault in Moscow’s three-year comprehensive war on Ukraine.

“I have always maintained a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin of Russia, but something has changed in him. He has gone absolutely CRAZY! He is senselessly killing many people, and I’m not just referring to soldiers. Missiles and drones are being fired at cities in Ukraine without any justification,” Trump shared on Truth Social.

Russia’s attacks set up another critical week in discussions over an end to the conflict.

Earlier this month, teams from Kyiv and Moscow met face-to-face for the first time since the war’s early weeks, but the flicker of hope that surrounded those talks was seemingly extinguished when Moscow pressed ahead with its assaults on Ukrainian cities and again rejected calls to agree to a 30-day halt in fighting.
