Raging Jealousy Rocks the Country’s Newest ‘It’ Couple

Ella Langley appeared to be in a reflective mood when she took the stage for an intimate concert in Denver last week.

The country star has recently topped the charts, broken records, earned platinum certifications and embarked on tour. During the performance, she asked the crowd: ‘Can she have the man, and can she have the dream at the same time?’

For now, it appears the answer may be yes.

Insiders have told Our News Outlet that the 27-year-old Choosin’ Texas singer is dating fellow country artist Tucker Wetmore, 26 — and the pair have reportedly rekindled a romance that began earlier this year.

The Nashville musicians first dated before splitting in May, then sparked fresh speculation after they were reportedly seen together again in September.

‘They were originally dating from February until she broke up with him a week before The Academy of Country Music Awards,’ one industry insider told us.

A second well-placed source also attributed the breakup to the pair’s ‘insane’ work schedules.

Fans began pairing Langley and Wetmore romantically in December, after both appeared to share social media posts from the US Virgin Islands. Langley was vacationing in St Thomas with her younger sister, Katie, while Wetmore was later seen nearby in the British Virgin Islands, where some speculated a songwriter’s camp was taking place.

The two were pictured standing close together in a group photo shared by Soggy Dollar Bar in White Bay. The venue’s caption said they had been enjoying a ‘fun couple of days.’

At the time, however, Langley was also linked to John Sansone, a personality from season three of The Farmer Wants a Wife.

Later that month, Wetmore appeared to fuel the speculation when he liked a fan’s comment on a video showing him shaving his beard. The comment read: ‘making that handsome face nice in [sic] smooth for beautiful EL.’

More intrigue followed when Wetmore released his single Sunburn in March. Many fans believed the lyrics referred to the pair’s reported trip to the Virgin Islands the previous December. ‘I flew in all alone to play some songs on the beach,’ he sings. ‘Was supposed to be in and out, ended up stayin’ all week / We said we won’t tell nobody but, baby, everyone knew ’bout Them hotel sheets we were under.’

That same month, Langley joined Wetmore onstage in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to perform the song with him.

Talk of the pair eventually died down, but it resurfaced last month when Langley and Wetmore were seen leaving through the back door of Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. Wetmore had been there to support Langley after she won Song of The Year at the Nashville Songwriter Awards.

Following reports of their alleged romance, online sleuths began searching for clues. Some fans pointed to a video of Langley dancing and singing along to the Bee Gees’ Stayin’ Alive, posted weeks before Wetmore was seen performing in a Bee Gees cutoff shirt, as further evidence of a connection.

Then came Wetmore’s coy response when asked about Langley at a recent VIP meet and greet. ‘So, like, there’s a rumor going around that you and Miss Ella Langley are a thing,’ one fan said, before asking: ‘Can you confirm?’

Wetmore paused, grinned and replied: ‘Next question.’

‘They are definitely back together,’ one Nashville insider told us. ‘They were at Corner Pub (a known Nashville hang) with her security around.’ 

The insider explained that having security at a small bar like that during the recent sighting was ‘weird’ in Nashville especially for two people who are seemingly ‘trying not to bring attention to their relationship.’

But while Langley is cozying up to Wetmore, it seems she may still be bothered by her rumored ex, Riley Green.

After all, the relationship was said to be messy, with Langley allegedly caught up in a love triangle with Green, 37, and fellow artist Megan Moroney, 29. The two women, sources previously told us, have grown to ‘hate each other’ as a result. 

Although Langley and Green both denied dating rumors, they were said to have dated in 2024 during which time they were touring and promoting their hit song You Look Like You Love Me. 

After their alleged relationship ended, the situation reportedly turned sour when Green and Moroney were spotted together multiple times in early 2025. The women were then embroiled in a back and forth, taking what seemed to be shady swipes at each other on social media.

Last week fans noticed that Langley had unfollowed Green on Instagram. She also addressed a question during a live video regarding his comments on a recent episode of The Voice.

Green, a coach on the singing competition show, referenced Langley while trying to convince a country duo to join his team. ‘There’s a girl that reminded me a lot of y’all,’ he said. ‘I took her on tour with me. Her name’s Ella Langley. She’s doing pretty well.’

Langley could be seen pausing as she read the comment: ‘When Riley took credit for your success on the voice did that rub you the wrong way?!’ Looking directly into the camera she responded: ‘Yeah, when that man took credit? No, didn’t love that. But typical. Pretty typical.’

Our Nashville insider said they didn’t agree with the internet or Langley that Green was ‘discrediting her or trying to take credit’ for her success.

‘I think it was taken out of context. He was just saying they reminded him of her,’ they said. ‘It’s clear he tries to be kind about her, and she is not having it. No matter what he says she would have a problem with it because she hates him.’

Perhaps that is partly why some are reticent about the new romance with Wetmore. 

‘Ella has been known to be jealous and overly controlling with her boyfriends, which makes sense considering what she went through with Riley,’ said a separate source.

‘I like him a lot more than I like her, so I hope he gets out of it,’ said our Nashville insider, who also claimed that during their first go at a relationship Langley was ‘giving Tucker a hard time about talking to other girls and was checking his phone.’

And while the source said they find the relationship hard to believe, they also insisted that they do not think the romance is a ‘PR thing.’

‘He very well might just like her. She’s pretty,’ they said. 

‘And who is he going to meet that’s not in the limelight at this point?’
