A man from Ohio is accused of setting the mother of his child on fire — “soaking her in gasoline and igniting her” — resulting in severe burns that necessitated medical care and surgeries, according to police.

Delvon Stone, 33, is charged with felonious assault, aggravated arson, and domestic violence related to the April 28 incident involving his child’s mother, as detailed in a criminal complaint filed last week in Toledo Municipal Court.

Stone was arrested after investigators spoke to the victim about what happened.

“The defendant and the victim share a child together,” the complaint says.

“The defendant attacked the victim by soaking her with gasoline and setting her ablaze,” the document states. “This resulted in severe burns requiring medical attention and surgeries. The victim is the source of this information.”

Stone appeared in court Tuesday and was given a $250,000 bond. He has at least two prior convictions for domestic violence, according to the complaint.
