An error affecting Commonwealth Bank and NetBank users has been resolved after several hours.

Earlier today, customers were alerted to an issue affecting transfers between accounts and payments.

“Currently, you might face difficulties transferring money between your accounts or making payments via PayID or using BSB and account numbers in both NetBank and the CommBank app,” the bank stated.

When attempting to transfer, customers saw a pop-up that read: “Something’s gone wrong. Try again a little later.”

The issue was not affecting physical cards or ATMs.

Over 450 customers were affected at the height of the issue, according to DownDetector.

The bank has since resolved the problem and CommBank app and NetBank services have been restored.

“We are sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for your patience,” the bank said.
