Silver Alert issued in Jacksonville for missing person David Lynn Johnson

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is looking for 61-year-old David Lynn Johnson, and they say they’re concerned for his safety.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing man they believe might be in danger and are requesting the public’s assistance in locating him on Friday.

According to a news release, JSO is searching for 61-year-old David Lynn Johnson, who was last spotted around 6:30 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Lem Turner Road and Broward Road.

His family reached out to JSO at approximately 11:45 p.m. Thursday when he failed to return home. JSO initiated their search and informed the public at around 2:30 a.m. Friday. As of 8 a.m., he remains missing.

He’s believed to be driving a silver 2017 Hyundai Tucson with the Florida tag “REVE09.” 

Police say Johnson has been diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury and is showing signs of dementia. He’s 5’6″ tall and 180 lbs. He also will be wearing all red. 

Anyone who has seen or who may know Mr. Johnson’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office at 904-630-0500.
