The 27-year-old actress revealed in a new interview that she has split from her longtime partner Jonathan Davino.

WASHINGTON — Sydney Sweeney is opening up about her split from fiancé Jonathan Davino in a new interview.

In a discussion with The Times, a British newspaper, the 27-year-old actress revealed that her relationship with Davino has ended. The two had co-founded the production company Fifty-Fifty Films and had been engaged for three years, having been connected for almost seven years.

Sweeney told the outlet that she is no longer planning a wedding with Davino, adding that she is officially single.

“I’m learning a lot about myself, spending more time with my friends. And I’m loving it,” she told the outlet.

Rumors of their separation began circulating when Sweeney was seen in February without her engagement ring. Earlier this year, People magazine reported that their relationship had been “unstable for a while.”

Speculation about their breakup intensified when Sweeney was present at the wedding of Glen Powell’s sister. Powell and Sweeney were co-stars in the 2023 romantic comedy “Anyone But You,” which both Davino and the actress were involved in producing.

Sweeney and Powell leaned into their on-screen chemistry during the film’s marketing, sparking dating rumors. Both stars have consistently shut down speculation, including during Sweeney’s monologue on Saturday Night Live in 2024.

“It’s always beautiful to see people fall in love with characters and be really supportive of stuff that they see on screen,” Sweeney told The Times. “Glen and I adore each other, so I think we were so happy for the reception of the film.”

“When you spend so much time with someone, you become close, and you talk to each other about anything,” Sweeney added. “So work, life, family, friends, he’s just there for me. I’m there for him.”

Powell previously confessed to the New York Times in 2024 that their chemistry was all for show.

“The two things that you have to sell a rom-com are fun and chemistry. Sydney and I have a ton of fun together, and we have a ton of effortless chemistry,” Powell told the New York Times at the time. “That’s people wanting what’s on the screen off the screen, and sometimes you just have to lean into it a bit — and it worked wonderfully. Sydney is very smart.”

Sweeney also discussed returning to the set of “Euphoria” after a two-year hiatus.

“Being back is crazy, I love Cassie so much,” she told the outlet. “She’s insane.”
