MILLCREEK, Utah (KTVX) – An unidentified man hurled an egg allegedly inscribed with a message on the shell at a Cybertruck in Utah Monday morning, according to the owner of the vehicle.

“This morning, an unfortunate incident occurred involving my Cybertruck, which was subject to an act of vandalism,” said Logan Bench, the truck owner. “A man, obscured by a mask to hide his identity, approached and hurled an egg at my vehicle.”

The individual can be seen walking up to the vehicle and throwing an egg, which splatters on the Cybertruck, while wearing a mask and sunglasses.

“What made this act particularly disturbing was the presence of a message inscribed on the shell of the egg, suggesting that this was not just a random act of mischief, but rather a deliberate statement of hate,” Bench said.

Message on eggs unclear

The exact message on the egg is unclear. Bench is now looking to identify the individual, seeking assistance from the public.

It’s not the first time acts of vandalism have been committed against a Tesla, as backlash against the electric-car company’s billionaire CEO, Elon Musk, grew during his time in politics a time which has since come to an end.

Recently, the Justice Department charged a man with vandalizing a Tesla dealership in New Mexico and setting fire to the headquarters of the state Republican Party. The arrest was part of a federal crackdown on what Attorney General Pam Bondi described as a wave of domestic terrorism against property carrying the Tesla logo.

Four accused of using Molotov cocktails to destroy Teslas, fire stations

The Justice Department also charged four other cases against people accused of using Molotov cocktails to destroy Tesla cars and fire stations. Back in March, the FBI even created a task force to investigate the attacks with officials at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

President Donald Trump bid farewell to Elon Musk in the Oval Office on Friday, May 30, providing a cordial conclusion to a tumultuous tenure for the billionaire entrepreneur.
