AUGUSTA, Ga. () – Loved ones of 27-year-old Morgan Gray are seeking justice after she was involved in a hit-and-run accident while riding her motorcycle on May 28th. Currently, she remains in critical condition at Doctors Hospital, and her family and friends believe someone must be held responsible for the incident.

The crash happened shortly before 9 p.m. at the junction of Wheeler Road and Frontage Road. In response, fellow bikers have gathered to form a prayer circle outside her hospital window.

“We’re supporting Morgan all the way,” stated Dalton Taylor, a friend. “It’s heartbreaking that she has to endure this due to a hit-and-run. We’re just hoping to find peace and achieve justice.”

Summer Ivey, Morgan’s cousin, has been working to obtain information from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office about the investigation but told me she feels she is getting the bare minimum from them.

“We’ve asked for updates. We’ve called, no reply,” said Summer Ivey, Morgans’s Cousin. “We’ve posted on social media. We’ve been loud. We’ve been doing prayer circles, just trying to be there for her. Her son needs her; her family needs her. Her friends, obviously, and we’re just steadily going to fight.”

The Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle and its owner. The vehicle was a company vehicle. They are collecting evidence about the driver but are unable to say anything at this time.

“We have our suspicions, but there’s a protocol that we follow,” said Major Robbie Silas, Special Operations Richmond County Sheriff’s Office. “I have a great team that is working tirelessly, you know, around the clock, trying to find the driver of this vehicle. Again, like I said, we are collecting evidence. The vehicle has been processed, and once we get all that, and we’ll run that to the DA’s office and let them see all the stuff that we have, and then we’ll make those charges.”

While they continue to seek answers about what happened and who is responsible, they have this solution to keep drivers on both four- and two-wheels safe.

“Regardless of what the situation is. We’re on two wheels. Pay attention,” said Taylor.

They have a GoFundMe for Morgan Grey. They are also hosting a fundraiser on Saturday, June 21st, at Street & Trail Motorsports from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
