A quintessential Frank Lloyd Wright home is on sale for $1.17 million in Indiana.

The four-bedroom home located in South Bend is described as “a genuine architectural gem” and stands as “the singular Prairie-style residence in the state,” as noted in the listing initially highlighted by Realtor.com.

This nearly 3,000-square-foot dwelling, completed in 1906, marks an early project by Wright, a figure still regarded as one of the premier architects throughout history. It was meticulously crafted under his guidance, according to agent Steve Bizzaro, who co-listed the home alongside Gabrielle Iams.

“It’s a living work of art,” said Bizzaro in a statement to The Post.

This Indiana landmark, the first of Wright’s creations in the state, showcases all of his distinctive design elements—prominent horizontal lines, eaves that extend outwards, abundant built-ins, an open layout, and the use of natural materials.

“With 65 original art glass windows, custom built-ins, and period lighting, the home showcases Wright’s signature harmony between architecture and artistry,” Bizzaro added.

The prairie-style abode, called the K.C. DeRhoades House, opens into a warm reception hall, followed by a living room with an original brick fireplace, a formal dining room and a tastefully updated kitchen.

All five bedrooms reside upstairs, including a primary suite with its own fireplace and a wall of art glass windows. Terraces span the front and back of the house.

The half-acre lot, located in South Bend’s historic West Washington District, has been stewarded for the past several decades by meticulous owners.

Its former inhabitants, Suzanne and Tom Miller, took up residence in 1978 and undertook a painstaking restoration of the property, Realtor.com reported. The Millers restored each of the home’s 65 windows, and stripped and repainted extensive amounts of woodwork. The couple earned a posthumous Wright Spirit Award for their efforts in 2021.

The current owners added their own touches, as well, like bathroom and kitchen upgrades, air conditioning and a driveway with an electrical vehicle charger.
