During Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sex trafficking trial, jurors were presented with three “freak off” sex tapes, which Cassie Ventura provided to the prosecution. Combs’ mother, sister, and three sons attended the proceedings as his former partner recounted the orgies. Some jurors reacted with discomfort and turned away. While the gallery was not permitted to view the recordings, jurors watched them on small screens with headphones.
Ananya Sankar, serving as a paralegal specialist for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York, testified about verifying the correctness of government-generated charts summarizing evidence exhibits. These charts revealed to the jury text messages and other data not explored in prior testimonies but included as evidence.
The evidence featured text exchanges involving Combs’ staff coordinating “hotel nights.” The communications involved Diddy, Cassie, Khorram, and other personnel discussing how to deliver $4,000 in cash to a hotel. Khorram informed assistant Dave Shirley, “Heads up, he’s probably about to do wild king tonight.” Shirley responded, “…need to reup on baby oil.” The jury also reviewed a text from Khorram to Cassie stating, “Hi, Dave is at your door with the green.”
Prosecutors said they expect to rest their case as early as Wednesday.
