Police report that a woman in Wisconsin was fatally shot during a “family dispute” with her relatives, and the entire incident was streamed live on Facebook, as highlighted by various reports.

“Just imagine waking up to discover on social media that a family member had been shot,” expressed Savannah Hudson, cousin to the 29-year-old victim Ashley Hudson, during an interview with local Fox affiliate WITI.

Milwaukee police tell Law&Crime they are still investigating the Monday night shooting but have taken at least three suspects into custody: a 15-year-old male, 21-year-old woman and a 16-year-old female.

“The shooting was the result of a family dispute,” the department says.

Cops responded to calls about the shooting at around 11 p.m. Monday near the 300 block of West Vliet Street. Hudson was shot multiple times and pronounced dead at the scene. Members of her family, including Savannah Hudson, told WITI that the slaying was livestreamed by someone who was on a balcony nearby and the footage then circulated on social media.

“It was on Live,” Savannah said. “It”s been a lot.”

Friends and family held a vigil for Hudson on Monday night and spoke to local media outlets about why they felt the video was actually important.

“I feel like those videos are all the evidence there needs to be,” Analyssa Thompson, a friend of Ashley’s who was standing on Vliet Street near the scene of the shooting when it unfolded, told local NBC affiliate WTMJ.

“He put [the gun] up to her, and she said, ‘Don’t shoot me’ and he shot her,” Analyssa alleged. “She stumbled … and she fell on the floor, and she just like she just sat there shaking.”
