SAVANNAH, Ga. () — A native of Savannah who plays for the Louisiana State University (LSU) women’s basketball team is set to participate in the 2025 FIBA Women’s AmeriCup.
After three days of trials in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Basketball revealed their 2025 USA Women’s AmeriCup Team, which features Flau’jae Johnson. The selection was made by the USA Basketball Women’s Junior National Team Committee, as stated in their press release.
The 2025 USA Women’s AmeriCup Team roster includes Raegan Beers, Mikayla Blakes, Madison Booker, Audi Crooks, Joyce Edwards, Hannah Hidalgo, Flau’jae Johnson, Gianna Kneepkens, Olivia Miles, Kennedy Smith, Hannah Stuelke, and Grace VanSlooten.
Johnson, Beers, Crooks, Kneepkens and Stuelke will be making their competitive debuts with USA Basketball in the AmeriCup.
Duke University’s Kara Lawson will serve as head coach with assistant coaches DeLisha Milton-Jones of Old Dominion University and Jennie Baranczyk of University of Oklahoma.
They will compete June 28-July 6 in Santiago, Chile.
The United States has won four AmeriCup gold medals, including titles in 2019 and 2021 since the event started in 1993.
