A man from Louisiana has been charged with the murder of his mother, following his confession to injecting her with methamphetamine and beating her to death.

Aaron Lloyd, aged 33, was detained at the St. Landry Parish Jail after authorities from the Opelousas Police Department investigated him regarding the death of his 65-year-old mother, Lisa Lloyd. Residents on Park Circle in Opelousas discovered Lisa Lloyd’s body in a trash can on Sunday and alerted the police. In a Facebook statement about the arrest, police mentioned that “a male subject had admitted to killing his mother and placing her body in a trash can at the location.”

Police said that they located Aaron Lloyd at another residence and took him to the police department for questioning.

Police reported that Aaron Lloyd did not resist significantly during the interrogation. After being apprehended without any issues, he allegedly confessed to the police that he injected his mother, Lisa Lloyd, with methamphetamine before fatally assaulting her.

While police did not explicitly identify Aaron Lloyd as the “male subject” who called, that caller reportedly said that he not only killed “his mother” but also stowed her dead body in a garbage can. The garbage can and the body were found underneath the carport of Lisa Lloyd’s home on Park Circle.
