With the high salaries that football players earn today, it’s reasonable to believe that many of them may not know how to change a car tire. If they break down on the motorway, the majority would likely opt for calling roadside assistance.

But thanks to Chelsea’s partnership with official tire sponsor Linglong Tire, that theory was put to the test – with hilarious results.

In a playful video challenge, Chelsea stars Tosin Adarabioyo, Noni Madueke, and Pedro Neto were given the task of changing a hatchback tire on their own, all while donning royal blue mechanic jumpsuits.

First up was Adarabioyo, who handled the challenge surprisingly well, completing the swap in just over two minutes.

Then came Madueke, whose experience was far less smooth. “Brother, what the hell?” he exclaimed in confusion. “Which way is it meant to go in?”

Adarabioyo noted that Madueke hadn’t properly fitted the tire, leading to the winger’s immediate disqualification, which entertained his fellow players. Laughing, Madueke quipped: “Forget it, bro. Am I a football player or a tire specialist?”

Last up was Neto, who showed no signs of pressure and breezed through the task in just 1 minute and 32 seconds – the fastest of the bunch.

Adarabioyo wasn’t surprised by the result either. When asked beforehand who he thought would win, he quipped: “Pedro’s really low down to the tire already, so he doesn’t need to bend down.”

Judging by the jokes and the jack mishaps, poor Pedro probably gets extremely tyred of hearing that.
