WAYCROSS, Ga. — The Waycross Police Department (WPD) seeks public assistance in locating two men alleged to have fired multiple gunshots at an officer’s patrol vehicle.
Just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday, police say say they tried to stop a car connected to multiple felony crimes, but the car fled, leading to a pursuit.
According to WPD, the suspects fired at the patrol car during a pursuit before eventually abandoning their vehicle in a neighborhood on the city’s south side.
Police say they were able to arrest a 15-year-old suspect during a foot chase. He was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, and other felony charges are pending.
Warrants have been issued for the arrests of Daquan Jerrell White, 20, and Kamar Anthony Boyd, 20, on charges of aggravated assault on a police officer and multiple felony weapon charges, according to police.
