BERWYN, Ill. (WLS) — Three people were shot at a west suburban bar over the weekend, police said.

Berwyn police said the incident took place about 1:45 a.m. Saturday at Juniors Bar & Grill, located at 7011 Ogden Ave.

No one is in custody Monday, and police are reviewing video footage from the bar.

Police said they are looking for a man in connection with the shooting.

Eyewitnesses reported that following a dispute inside the bar, two individuals exited. One of them came back and began firing shots at the bar from the outside, according to those present.

Plywood covered a window Monday.

Some neighbors say they are concerned about this happening in an otherwise quiet residential neighborhood.

“Bars contribute various factors to a community. There are some benefits, but currently, the drawbacks are overshadowing the benefits, particularly concerning this bar,” stated local resident Leo Torres.

Torres says he and many of his neighbors have concerns about the bar, which is open until 3 a.m. on weekends.

In April an alleged drunk driver who had been at the bar drove through the wall of the toy store next-door.

The owners are now trying to sell the business and move out of the neighborhood.

Multiple community members express their intention to address the bar-related concerns at an upcoming ward meeting organized by Alderman Micah Caldwell, who did not provide a comment when asked.

“Those things, we’re not talking about a situation where it’s just a fight. These are life-threatening situations. Things happening that we don’t want to happen and it’s scary,” Torres said.

The bar’s owners declined to comment.
