JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Washington County, Tennessee Sheriff’s Office has reported the arrest of two men following assaults involving a hammer and a firearm.

Deputies were dispatched to the 400 block of Woodlyn Road after 9 p.m. on Monday, following a call about an individual being hit with a hammer. Witnesses informed deputies that Terry Allen Brewster, 49, from Johnson City, came to the residence and engaged in a confrontation with the victim in the driveway.

The sheriff’s office stated that surveillance footage captured Brewster attacking the victim with a hammer. Brewster is said to have then gone back to his vehicle and departed the scene.

Shortly thereafter, Brewster called 911 and said he was in the 3000 block of Watauga Road. Deputies found Brewster, who reportedly told them that after he left the scene, David A. Bardo, 23, of Johnson City, approached his truck and fired a gun several times at him. Deputies observed bullet holes in Brewster’s truck, according to the sheriff’s office.

Brewer and Bardo were both arrested and charged with aggravated assault. They were taken to the Washington County Detention Center with bonds set at $50,000 each.
