JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (WJHL) — A man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly fleeing from authorities in Jonesborough.

A news release from the Washington County, Tennessee Sheriff’s Office reported that Brandon Cage Fenner was apprehended after attempting to evade deputies near West College Street and North Second Avenue in Jonesborough.

Deputies patrolling the area reportedly saw a motorcycle run a stop sign and attempted a traffic stop near Main Street.

Fenner, 26, allegedly fled, turned onto Persimmon Ridge Road and crossed Highway 11 East into a parking lot.

The WCSO detailed in their statement that “Fenner ran from deputies through the business premises. While fleeing, he removed the black jacket he was wearing and exited through the back door. Deputies were able to capture him shortly after he exited. At the time of arrest, Fenner possessed $796 in cash, found a couple of baggies with what looked like drug residue, and a glass pipe with residue in his pockets.”

Baggies, three glass pipes and three syringes were found in a bag on his motorcycle, the press release stated.

The WCSO also recovered the black jacket and found a handgun in the pocket.

Fenner was charged with evading arrest, unlawful carrying of a weapon, drug paraphernalia and driving on a revoked license (second time or more).

Fenner was taken to the Washington County Detention Center. As of Thursday, he’s being held on a $22,000 bond.
