Johnson City hosts first Little Miss Pepsi Firecracker Pageant

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — The inaugural Little Miss Pepsi Firecracker Pageant took place Friday morning at Freedom Hall, marking the beginning of the Pepsi Independence Day Fireworks Celebration.

The pageant was open to girls ages 2-12.

Three winners were crowned in the pageant by age range:

  • Cora Carrier – Wee Miss Pepsi Little Firecracker
  • Ada Jane Smith – Tiny Miss Pepsi Little Firecracker
  • Emma Hart – Little Miss Pepsi Firecracker

The pageant ran from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. and kicked off the festivities at Freedom Hall.

Live music performances start at 6 p.m. at Freedom Hall with headliner Chase Matthew performing at 8:25 p.m. Fireworks will start at 10:05 p.m.

News Channel 11 will provide exclusive coverage of the Pepsi Independence Day Fireworks Celebration from 7 to 8 p.m., accessible on-air, online, and through WJHL+. The fireworks display will also be available for live streaming both online and via WJHL+.
