Alisha Lehmann has sported a new bespectacaled look as she prepares for the start of Euro 2025 in Switzerland.

The Juventus star, dubbed the ‘world’s sexiest footballer’, rocked a new pair of glasses as she posed with a ball ahead of the tournament.

Lehmann who used to go out with former Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz, is Switzerland’s most famous player, boasting 16.7million followers on Instagram and 12m on TikTok.

She was initially snubbed for the Swiss squad but and was only handed a last-minute call up by Pia Sundhage.

The 26-year-old was given a spot in the squad after FC Koln midfielder Alena Bienz withdrew with an ankle injury.

Reacting to her call up, Lehmann wrote on Instagram: ‘I couldn’t be happier to represent my country at the Euros. I’m so grateful for the opportunity. Let’s make Switzerland proud and show how football is growing.’

Lehmann is a forward but has been deployed in defence in the past as she struggles to break into the starting line up.

But while she is unlikely to receive extended minutes throughout the tournament, she remains at the centre of attention.

Her new bespectacaled look comes days after she landed a new brand deal with swimwear company Tezenis.

Lehmann revealed news of the partnership with an Instagram post of her wearing a red bikini from Tezenis.

Meanwhile, the new link-up for Lehmann came after she was part of a Swiss outfit that lost 7-1 to Under 15 male side FC Luzern in a warm-up game ahead of the Euros.

Footage of the match circulated on social media and reportedly received 70,000 views on TikTok before being deleted.

Switzerland played a second-string team, with boss Sundhage fielding 26 players.

Swiss Football Association media spokesperson Sven Micosse defended the result after the game and gave further context to the defeat.

She told Swiss outlet Blick: ‘It’s not uncommon in women’s football to compete against junior teams.

‘The goal: to bring a certain competitive element. The focus during this phase of preparation is on the physical aspect.

Switzerland face Norway in their opening group game on Wednesday and will hope to improve on their showing at the previous Euros, where they picked up just one point in three games.

They will also take on Finland and Iceland in group A.

Lehmann’s involvement in the Euros will come just months after her and Douglas Luiz reportedly called time on their relationship.

The duo first began dating back in 2021, before they broke up a year later and rekindled at the start of 2024.

Since then, the couple had enjoyed a close relationship and both sealed a move to Italian giants Juventus during the summer window last year.

Luiz joined from Aston Villa for £42.4m having emerged as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.

Lehmann followed suit just seven days later, also moving from Villa, and is contracted until 2027.

The 26-year-old, whose move alongside Luiz was the first ‘couples transfer’ of that kind, saw her campaign disrupted by fitness issues.
