Tottenham Hotspur are reveling in their Europa League victory — and they’ve marked the occasion with a clever, subtle jab at Manchester United.

As part of their new Europa League Winners clothing line, Spurs have reclaimed one of football’s most iconic jibes: “Lads, it’s Tottenham.”

The phrase, famously linked to former United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, was reportedly used in the dressing room to spur his team on for matches against Spurs. It became synonymous with Tottenham’s perceived vulnerability during a 17-year spell without a trophy – until now.

After beating Manchester United four times last season, including in the Europa League final, Spurs are humorously turning the story around.

The new collection features a navy hoodie and matching t-shirt, both designed with a minimalist aesthetic and the phrase “Lads, it’s Tottenham” subtly stitched or printed in white.

In a delicious twist, some United fans had pre-printed their own versions of the slogan before the final, expecting a routine win. Instead, it’s Tottenham – now European champions and trophy holders for the first time in 18 years – who have the last laugh.

The limited-edition merch is available now through Tottenham’s official club store, giving fans a chance to wear history, with a wink.
