SAVANNAH, Ga. () – has received new video footage of Oglethorpe Mall shooting suspect, Aujawan Hymon, which several law enforcement sources credit with aiding in his apprehension.

The footage, shared on social media, captures the 20-year-old at a Richmond Hill location, leading to his arrest at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 5.

Because of its explicit content, we cannot display the entire two-minute video. However, it features Hymon brandishing a pistol at the camera multiple times, mouthing violent rap lyrics, and showing off large amounts of cash.

Notably, behind him in a few clips, is an AR-15 style rifle.

Also visible is the hospital band on his right wrist and a cast on his left wrist where he was likely treated.

In surveillance video of the crime, law enforcement sources told Hymon is in a blue hat and white shirt, holding a weapon and running toward the back of the store.

The only charge Hymon is facing now is illegal possession of a firearm.

first reported this is not his first run in with the law.

Jail records show Hymon has a criminal history dating back to 2023 for illegal pistol or revolver charges under the age of 18, spending just 12 days in jail.

Now he is back behind bars, this time held without bond.

It is unclear if Hymon is going to face more charges in the future, but he is not the only suspect wanted in this crime, only the first caught.
