In Georgia, a 17-year-old girl is being charged as an adult for alleged murder after she supposedly killed her mother and stepfather by shooting them inside their own home. Authorities report that she created TikToks about the couple after their deaths, with captions like “should prob delete later” and “miss them so much,” and also uploaded selfie videos just days before her apprehension.

Sarah Patrick, from Tyus, allegedly captioned a June 30 video on her personal TikTok account, post as “Take me back to the beach rn.” The video supposedly showed her at the beach and was verified by Law&Crime with local police as being from her account, @sgrace04282. The teen was detained on July 8, charged in relation to the February deaths of her mom Kristin Brock and stepdad James Brock, after her biological father handed her over to authorities.

“If you asked me about my mom and step dad, I’d say I miss them so much,” Patrick allegedly wrote in a text overlay of a photo of herself on May 17, which was featured in a collage post showing images of the Brocks and Patrick’s younger sister, who cops say found the couple’s bodies.

“But if you were to ask me on a deeper level, I’d tell you that I just wanna go home,” the teen allegedly said in text overlays for the other pictures. “I feel so home sick and I miss them so much I can’t stand the fact I can’t see them anymore this sucks more than anything possible. I feel like I’m in a horror movie that never ends. And on top of everything I still have no answers, im so confused on how someone could’ve done this and even more confuse on why. Why them? Why that? Just why. How could they.”

The post is captioned, “Should prob delete later.”

Police tell Law&Crime they have been made aware of the account and have confirmed that it belongs to Patrick. The teen has been charged as an adult with two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault.

Authorities found the Brocks dead at their residence on Feb. 20 after a 911 call allegedly came in from Patrick, saying her 6-year-old sister found their bodies.

“To me, she is probably the saddest victim in all this,” said Ashley Hulsey, a spokesperson for the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, at a Tuesday afternoon news conference while announcing Patrick’s arrest and charges. Hulsey said the younger child was unaware of what happened after finding her parents with multiple gunshot wounds that day.

“Smallest daughter found them and then she came and told Sarah and Sarah made the 911 call,” according to Hulsey. “Sarah was in the home.”

Patrick allegedly took to TikTok just weeks later to post about the Brocks and what happened, writing in another text overlay for a March 1 video, “They don’t know it but a year from now me and my 5 year old sister [sic] would find them wrongfully shot dead in our home and won’t get to watch me graduate high school, see me walk down the isle, and couldn’t even say goodbye.”

Patrick was brought to the sheriff’s office by her biological father, Doniel Patrick, who tagged her in a Facebook repost about being in her “corner” just three days earlier.

“To My Daughter, never doubt your place in this world,” the post said. “You were sent here with purpose, wrapped in grace, and born to shine in ways only your soul knows how. I see you, I believe in you, and I’ll always be in your corner.”

Police have emphasized that the investigation into the Brock killings is still ongoing. Questioned on whether Patrick tried to hide what happened, Hulsey said, “Considering that she didn’t just immediately tell us what happened, yes. But who knows what’s going on in a young person’s mind like that.”

Patrick’s biological father allegedly turned her over to police after authorities told her she had warrants out for her arrest, according to cops.

“It’s very possible others are involved as well,” Husley said. “We are still working with her diligently, our investigators have been speaking with her.”
