Epstein saga a 'political detriment' in MAGA world: Bill O'Reilly

() Bill O’Reilly believes that the Jeffrey Epstein saga has become a distraction to President Trump, but not to the point that it is serious enough to completely splinter the MAGA world.

Last week, the Justice Department said Epstein who was facing charges of sex trafficking did not leave behind a “client list.” Attorney General Pam Bondi suggested in February that the list was on her desk, though she later said she was referring to the overall case file.

O’Reilly feels that Bondi and former A.G. Merrick Garland should be the ones answering the questions about Epstein, and Trump should order them to speak to the media.

“Hold a press conference and invite former General Garland,” O’Reilly said during his “On Balance” appearance Monday.

“If he doesn’t come there, put an empty chair with his picture on it because Garland had the information that the Trump people had for four years. This is more of a mystery than it is a crisis. I disagree with the word ‘crisis.’ I don’t think it’s a crisis for the country. It may be a political detriment to the Republican Party and Donald Trump.”

O’Reilly supported his remarks by saying there’s been no evidence that any pedophile ring has been covered up.

“Without such evidence, it just becomes a curiosity,” O’Reilly said. “But it is a dangerous situation, he added, because the Justice Department is “starting to lose credibility” in the eyes of many Americans.

“Many, many millions of Americans believe the fix is always in for the rich and powerful.”

Bondi did say officials were poring over a “truckload” of previously withheld evidence. The Justice Department deemed that public disclosure would not be appropriate and that much of the material was placed under seal by a judge. But O’Reilly doesn’t think Bondi is making any decisions at all. Instead, he says, it’s Todd Blanche, United States deputy attorney general, running the operation.

“He was Trump’s lawyer in the New York City stuff,” O’Reilly said. “And Trump really trusts him, and he has far more access to Donald Trump than Mrs. Bondi does.”

O’Reilly noted that he’s befuddled by why Bondi initially suggested she had a list of Epstein’s clients. However, he says somebody in the Trump administration doesn’t want that list exposed.

“The president told me face-to-face that he has to be careful” with information about Epstein, he said.
