Police: 61-year-old with blood on him ID'ed as assailant in stabbing

Police say Shawn Bradwell Smith was charged in a stabbing after the victim identified him as an attacker.

DOCK JUNCTION, Ga. — Police say a stabbing victim in Dock Junction identified a 61-year-old man as his assailant, leading to his arrest Wednesday.

The Glynn County Police Department reports that Shawn Bradwell Smith departed the location of the stabbing incident on Roadway Street. According to the police, Smith had blood on him when he exited the scene.

The victim had been stabbed in the neck, and told police Smith did it.

The victim was taken to Southeast Georgia Health System for treatment and is stable.

Smith was transported to the hospital to receive treatment for minor injuries to his hand, which authorities claim resulted from the stabbing. He now faces charges of aggravated assault.
