The issue has gained attention as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has expressed alarm over the increase in doxxing incidents targeting ICE agents. The agency reported a dramatic 830% surge in attacks on these agents since January.
In a recent directive issued in July, the DHS has urged the Justice Department to take legal action against individuals suspected of “doxxing” ICE agents. This involves posting photos and personal data of the agents online or making it publicly accessible.
