S.C. teen expressed support for ISIS, obtained plans to make explosive device, SLED says

ALLENDALE, S.C. () – The Allendale County Sheriff’s Office announced on Tuesday that two individuals sought in connection with the murder that took place on Hay Street on Saturday, July 19 have been apprehended.

In a press release posted to Facebook, Tyrese Lofton and Javon Odoms were taken into custody without incident on July 22.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (DNR) assisted in the case.

“We sincerely appreciate SLED and DNR for their prompt response and collaboration with our deputies during this investigation. Above all, we extend our gratitude to the residents of Allendale County who provided information and stayed watchful—their contributions have brought us closer to achieving justice.”

According to the Allendale County Sheriff’s Office, further details about the investigation “will be released as appropriate.”
