Four city leaders included in 100 Most Influential Women list

SAVANNAH, Ga. () — Four leaders from the City of Savannah have been recognized in Georgia Engineering Magazine’s annual list of the 100 Most Influential Women in Georgia Engineering.

The list highlights women who are significantly impacting the state’s infrastructure through their innovation and leadership. Peers nominate candidates, and the American Council of Engineering Companies of Georgia (ACEC) selects them.

The honorees are:

Faye DiMassimo, Chief of Planning and Economic Development. 

DiMassimo, who has been included on the list for the fourth year in a row, boasts over 40 years of experience across federal, regional, and local levels. She has spearheaded multimodal transportation systems and infrastructure initiatives in Atlanta, Cobb County, Nashville, and Savannah.

Cristy Lawrence, PE, LEED AP, MBA, F.ASCE, Senior Director of Capital Projects. 

Lawrence is a civil engineer with over 30 years of experience in public and private sectors. She has received the honor previously in 2018 and 2024. She also serves as president of the board of directors of the Savannah Engineering Academy, a nonprofit STEM summer camp. 

Julie McLean, PE, CFM, F.ASCE, Senior Director of Development Services. 

McLean has served Savannah for 23 years, managing public capital improvement projects over $150 million and overseeing regulatory plan reviews, permitting, and inspections for public and private development valued at more than $7.5 billion.

Jennifer Roach, PE, CFM, F.ASCE, Deputy City Engineer.

Roach is the city’s deputy engineer and enforces the Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance, ensuring compliance with FEMA’s Community Rating System, and manages the program responsible for site permitting and inspections for development.
