An Arkansas woman who works as a high school science teacher was accused of domestic violence against her boyfriend.

Local ABC and NBC affiliate KAIT shared details from an incident report that revealed 43-year-old Stephanie Woods was involved in a heated argument with her 37-year-old boyfriend on Monday. This argument took a violent turn, according to police. Officers responded to a call from a residence in Paragould, Arkansas, around 4:30 a.m. They discovered that the couple had been quarreling over Woods’ communication with “other men.”

Paragould Police Officer Keaton Massey, who documented the incident, was the one who arrived at the scene. As reported by KAIT, he noted that Woods took an earring and stabbed her boyfriend in the neck, right beneath his ear on the right side. The boyfriend informed police that the earring’s stud broke off and lodged in his neck.

The boyfriend refused medical attention. He told police that he and Woods started arguing because she was “talking about other men.”

Woods claimed to police that she “was trying to put the earrings in his mouth during the argument.”

Police said they arrested Woods at the scene on suspicion of domestic battery. She was booked into the Greene County Detention Center and posted $5,000 bond that evening, according to KAIT.

KAIT reported that Woods is currently listed as a science teacher at Greene County Tech High School in Paragould.
