Jennifer Lopez has recently been opening up about her personal life, confidently discussing her sex life on stage and seemingly revealing private details about her breakup with Ben Affleck in her recent songs. But how does the famously reserved actor feel about his former wife’s candid revelations?

Lopez, 56, known for her introspective tunes reflecting her personal experiences, has released two new tracks. These songs appear to take direct jabs at Affleck, 52, from whom she separated in August 2024 after they attempted to rekindle their romance.

But don’t expect the man who played Batman to entertain her latest ‘childish’ antics.

‘If this song or any others bash him, what can he do? It’s childish and not something he wants to entertain,’ an insider told the Daily Mail.

‘It is something he can’t control, so he isn’t going to let it hurt him and he’s definitely not going to give it life by reacting.’

In her new track, Up All Night, Lopez sings about how she is now ‘living her best life’ after getting tired of a man ‘breaking her down.’

‘I’m up all night, dancing on somebody, living my best life / I bet you wish that you were by my side / I got tired of you breaking me down / Look at me now,’ she sings. 

And in Wreckage Of You, she talks about how splitting from an unidentified ‘broken’ partner – Affleck battled alcoholism – only made her ‘stronger’. 

Debuting that new track during a tour stop in Pontevedra, Spain, earlier this month, she sang, ‘Thank you for the scars you left on my heart / For showing me that stars shine brighter in the dark / I won’t fall apart because of who you are / And all your broken parts. Because of you, I am stronger, wiser / Better than I’ve ever been.’

Despite how ‘childish’ Affleck may find it all, he was allegedly far from shocked at learning his ex-wife had used their breakup as inspiration for her new music.

‘He’s known her long enough and been given a nod on plenty of her music before so he is more than aware that this was coming,’ our insider said.

‘He knows that this is something she has to do for herself and for her artistry.’ 

Representatives for both Lopez and Affleck did not reply to requests for comment. 

If the songs are in fact about Affleck, then it appears Lopez has had a change of heart as insiders previously insisted that, in a break from tradition, she was planning to wipe all mention of him from her upcoming album. 

The sources said she was instead hunting for singles about ‘strength, courage and perseverance’ because after two failed attempts at love with the famously grumpy actor she is finally ‘in a great place.’ 

It was reported at the time of their split that their differing views on fame created conflict: Affleck has long been outspoken how he wants to keep his personal life out of the public eye, while Lopez loves to share intimate details from her life in her music.

She certainly doesn’t seem to be holding back.

Lopez has been putting on increasingly risqué performances during her European tour, even simulating sex positions on stage and disclosing what she likes in the bedroom.

While performing at the Cook Music Fest in Tenerife, Lopez, clad in a skimpy silver bodysuit, was on all fours in front of a shirtless dancer, before another lifted her off her feet and sat her on his shoulders with her crotch in his face.

Another eye-popping moment saw her straddling a dancer while placing her hands suggestively between the legs of another two. 

The singer also made a shocking admission about her sexual desires on stage at Italy’s Lucca Summer Festival on Monday in front of thousands of people.

Before performing her song Moments, she told the audience: ‘I have to be honest with you, sometimes I get in different moods at night. I don’t know about you but I do, and sometimes I like it hard. 

‘Other days, I am feeling a little romantic. You put on candles and soft music. On those days, I like it real slow. 

‘But there’s other days… maybe because it’s a new kind of time for me, maybe because it’s summertime and it’s hot outside – I feel a little more naughty.’

Her antics were blasted by conservative political commentator Megyn Kelly, who wrote on X, ‘So she’s a soft porn star now. Great choices!’

Lopez and Affleck first started dating in 2002 after bonding on set of the film Gigi, and they quickly got engaged. 

But the couple called it quits in 2004, just before they were set to become husband and wife.

Lopez and Affleck both went on to marry other people – she exchanged vows with Mac Anthony in 2004, while he walked down the aisle with Jennifer Garner in 2005 – but after splitting from their respective partners, they eventually got back together.

They rekindled their love in 2021 and went on to marry in Las Vegas in July 2022 before splitting again in August.

Not long after they reunited in 2021, Affleck spoke about his dedication to keeping his relationships private after a reporter for The Wall Street Journal asked him about the romance.

He said ‘some things [are] intimate’ and should not be ‘shared with the rest of the world.’

But months later, the intimate details of their love story were showcased to the world on her album This Is Me… Now and its accompanying documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told, which premiered in February 2024, six months before they called it quits. 

During one scene, Affleck admitted that he was ‘taken aback’ by her singing about their romance in great detail on her record.

And during an interview with British GQ earlier this year, Affleck admitted that he and Lopez had very different views on fame. 

‘There are a lot of people who I think have handled celebrity more adeptly and more adroitly than I have, Jennifer among them,’ he said.

‘My temperament is to be a little bit more reserved and private than hers. As happens in relationships, you don’t always have the same attitude towards these things.’
