Abandoned Dog Finds Its Forever Family Just Under 2 Weeks Later

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Nearly two weeks after a dog was left tied to a pole outside the Nevada SPCA, he has found his forever home.

8 News Now met with the Animal Foundation on Wednesday as Klondike was still in need of a home.

““When they found him, he was really scared,” Max Blaustein of The Animal Foundation said. “He was shut down.”

Klondike was sent to the Animal Foundation when Clark County Animal Protection Services took over his case. Officials told 8 News Now they were able to track down the person who abandoned him and cited them for abandonment, deprivation of water, and deprivation of shelter.

On Thursday, Klondike’s new parents said they learned about him from a recent news segment and knew they needed to meet him.

“After just a few minutes, Klondike sat at their feet, leaning against their legs for affection,” The Animal Foundation said.
