Couple Attacked & Killed While Hiking With Daughters in Arkansas State Park

An Arkansas couple was found murdered on a hiking trial in a state park on Saturday.

Clinton David Brink, aged 43, and Cristen Amanda Brink, aged 41, were on a hiking trip with their daughters, aged 7 and 9, according to Arkansas State Police. Fortunately, the girls were unharmed and are now staying with relatives.

Police said the suspect, who has not been identified, was wearing a long sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up.

Police described the suspect as an unidentified white male with a medium build. He was dressed in dark pants, a dark cap, and sunglasses. Additionally, the suspect carried a black backpack and wore fingerless gloves. Witnesses spotted him driving towards the park’s exit in a black, four-door sedan.

Investigators say the vehicle may have been a Mazda and had its license plate covered by electrical or duct tape.

While the police have not disclosed how they were informed of the double homicide, they responded to a call at Devil’s Den State Park around 2:40 p.m. on Saturday, discovering the Brinks on a walking trail. Details about the couple’s death were not provided, beyond stating they were assaulted.

The Brinks had recently moved to Arkansas from another state, police said. According to Facebook, that state was Montana.

Police have asked anyone visiting the park on Saturday to check photos or videos they may have taken for images of the suspect. They’re also seekig surveillance and game camera video from residents in the area surrounding the park.
