ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) — A newborn baby boy, just a week old, was discovered left in a car seat outside a residence in Orlando on Monday morning, as reported by the Orlando Police Department.

Police said the newborn was found in the 5500 block of Lido Street around 7:20 a.m.

He is in good health and was taken to a hospital to receive treatment.

The authorities are appealing to the public for any details that could assist in identifying the infant and locating his parents. Residents in the vicinity of Lido Street are urged to check their home security systems or surveillance cameras for any helpful recordings.

“The Orlando Police Department reminds all parents and caregivers that the Safe Haven Law
