    ORLANDO, Fla. – Lake County is currently under a severe thunderstorm warning until 8:30 p.m.

    A severe thunderstorm has been detected near Leesburg.

    Areas likely to be affected include Lake Griffin, Lake Harris, and Fruitland Park.

    The storm is slowly moving northward at a speed of 5 mph.

    The primary hazard from this storm is winds exceeding 60 mph.

    This storm is accompanied by frequent lightning strikes and heavy rainfall.
