CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago residents are being asked to report any flooding from rain over the last week.

The Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications announced on Wednesday that residents impacted by flooding from July 25 to 28 should reach out by calling 311, using the CHI 311 app, or visiting 311.Chicago.gov.

In collaboration with the Illinois Management Agency, OEMC is using a Residential Self-Assessment Survey as an additional reporting method to gather more details.

This extra information will support efforts to determine whether the city, together with the Cook County Department of Emergency Management and Regional Security (CCEMRS) and IEMA, can explore options for further assistance for affected residents.

The deadline to submit the survey is Sunday, Aug. 3.

There has been heavy rain in the Chicago area throughout the last week.

A Flood Watch was in effect at points.

Flash flooding was a concern in the south and southwest neighborhoods that saw several inches of rain.
