FBI investigates sexual assault allegations on Carnival cruise ship

The FBI is investigating sexual assault allegations on a Carnival cruise ship.

A representative from the FBI informed KHOU 11 about a reported sexual assault that transpired on the Carnival Breeze cruise ship, which operates out of Galveston, Texas. The incident occurred during a trip that concluded in Galveston on Monday.

“The FBI in Houston is cognizant of claims concerning a sexual assault on the Carnival Breeze cruise ship, docking in Galveston on 07/28/2025,” the FBI representative stated. “In alignment with usual procedures for crimes aboard cruise ships, an FBI Maritime Liaison Agent stationed at the Texas City Resident Agency is collaborating with the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and the cruise company regarding this case. Consistent with standard reviews or ongoing investigations, the FBI will refrain from sharing further details or updates on these issues.”

The Carnival Breeze cruise was 4 days and made a stop in Cozumel, Mexico.

“This standard practice promotes transparency. It does not necessarily indicate any suspicious circumstances, nor do the details of this situation suggest such activities. We offer our deepest condolences to our guest’s family and friends during this challenging period,” the spokesperson continued.
