A 34-year-old mother from Kentucky is facing charges after reportedly involving her young children in a scheme to cause harm to their grandmother — the mother’s ex-mother-in-law — who suffers from a severe allergy. The plot, allegedly documented with a handwritten note, included attempts to provoke an allergic reaction.

Tiffany Gregory was apprehended on Tuesday and is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, second-degree stalking, and unlawful transaction with a minor, as per records examined by Law&Crime. The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, informed the Louisville Police Department of months-long threats from Gregory. These threats, as reported by the victim, had escalated to the point where she observed Gregory repeatedly driving by her residence, according to a report by Louisville ABC affiliate WHAS.

In one instance from early April, it is alleged that Gregory sent the victim a video recording, taken covertly, of her standing in line at a local Walgreens.

The situation allegedly intensified on July 7, when it is claimed that Gregory collected her two children, aged 8 and 11, under the pretense of going to the zoo, but redirected them first to complete an “errand,” as reported by Louisville Fox affiliate WDRB.

This “errand” involved the children allegedly stomping on bell peppers — a known allergen to their grandmother — which Gregory is accused of instructing. She then supposedly put the crushed peppers into a birthday gift bag, instructing her children to deliver the bag to their grandmother’s front porch.

Aware of their grandmother’s allergy, the children declined to follow through with the plan. Following their refusal, Gregory allegedly sought help from a friend to carry out the task.

According to a report from local NBC affiliate WAVE, Gregory’s friend allegedly placed the bag with the bell peppers on the victim’s car along with a hand-written birthday card that read:

“You ruined my life. Enjoy your allergic reaction b—.”

Fortunately for the victim, her husband was the one who found the crushed peppers and discarded the bag.

The victim’s grandchildren also reportedly told police that in mid-June, their mother told them she was going to drop off some “legal paperwork” at their grandmother’s house. However, while at the victim’s home, Gregory allegedly “rubbed a pink substance on the driver’s door handle of the victim’s vehicle,” per WBRD.

When the victim next went to her vehicle, she reportedly wiped the handle off with a napkin. She “later woke up in the hospital” after suffering an allergic reaction.

During her arraignment on Wednesday, Gregory pleaded not guilty to all of the charges against her. She is currently being held in the Louisville Metro Detention Center on $25,000 cash-only bond. Records show that Gregory is currently scheduled to appear in court again on Aug. 7.
