() Vice President JD Vance has criticized Democrats for their reactions to the Sydney Sweeney American Eagle ad campaign.

Vance spoke to the hosts of the “Ruthless Podcast,” where he discussed several topics, including the controversy over the “Sydney Sweeney has great jeans” campaign. The ad, which plays on the word “genes,” sparked online criticism from some who accused the brand of promoting eugenics and racism.

“So much of the Democrats is oriented around hostility to basic American life, so you have a pretty girl doing a jeans ad and they can’t help but freak out,” Vance said.

Vance sarcastically encouraged Democrats to “continue to tell everyone who thinks Sydney Sweeney is attractive is a Nazi,” before adding, “Did you learn nothing from the November 2024 election?”

White House Communications Director Steven Cheung echoed Vance’s sentiment in a post on X.

“Cancel culture run amok. This warped, moronic, and dense liberal thinking is a big reason why Americans voted the way they did in 2024. They’re tired of this bullshit,” he wrote.

Despite the controversy online, “no prominent Democratic Party leaders or officials have commented on the ad,” according to CNN’s Alejandra Jaramillo.
