() Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have been subpoenaed by the House Oversight Committee to testify in its Jeffrey Epstein investigation.

In late July, a House Oversight subcommittee voted to subpoena the Clintons, among others, for depositions over their alleged ties to Jeffrey Epstein and accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell.

Other high-profile figures subpoenaed by committee chair Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., include former FBI directors James Comey and Robert Mueller, as well as former attorneys general Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder, Jeff Sessions, William Barr and Alberto Gonzales, Fox News first reported.

When the Trump administration released more than 900 pages of court documents regarding Epstein’s crimes in February, Bill Clinton and President Donald Trump, Michael Jackson, Cameron Diaz and more were named.

Last week, Trump said he “never had the privilege” of going to Epstein’s private island, but claimed Bill Clinton went there 28 times. A spokesman for Clinton in 2019 acknowledged Clinton had been on Epstein’s plane but maintained he’d never been to the island.

The committee also previously subpoenaed Maxwell, who spoke with  Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche last week for more than nine hours over two days.

Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year sentence for conspiring with Epstein for the sexual abuse of minors. She will not face a congressional deposition until after the U.S. Supreme Court considers her appeal, Comer announced.

The DOJ and FBI’s page-and-a-half memo saying Epstein committed suicide and was not killed, and that there was no “list” of co-conspirators, has spurred a renewed interest in the release of the so-called “Epstein files.”
